Did you wish the elders took you under there wing.
by Pitchess Co-Gen ini wanted to be an one of the brothers the elders took under there wing,but i had to much baggage ( reproved 3 times and currently d.f ).
yes i've seen elders take m.s'es and turn them into elders.
i had a friend who was an m.s an elder took him and now he's an elder.

Something I Never Understood About Disfellowshipped Ones
by minimus ini never understood why df'd ones would treat other df'd ones like crap.
(after all, they could talk to each other).
but many would "treat" other disfellowshipped just like the witnesses would.

I never experienced this before,but I remember C.O.T.B.O.E recomending not to even talk to disfellowshiped ones. Think thats hogwash!!!!

Should a DF'd person lie to get reinstated?
by DT insuppose someone is wrongfully disfellowshipped and is unable to appeal successfully.
suppose he still believes in the watchtower society and tries to get reinstated as soon as possible.
imagine that the elders want to make sure that he is repentant by insisting that he shows remorse for what he is accused of doing.

Yes. Because the person shouldn't of been disfellowshiped in the first place. I'll explain on a later post.

I had a friend who was an M.S an elder took him and now he's an elder. I asked for this same brother to do the same and it wasn't happening .

As a Witness - What did you Notice in How Elders Got Appointed ?
by flipper ini found it amazing being raised in the witnesses to see exactly who got appointed sometimes as an elder.
it seemed that the criteria in my opinion had more to do with getting 10 hours a month in field service, answering at meetings, carrying microphones as a ministerial servant, or handling the magazine or literature counter !
in doing these " functions " and attending meetings on a regular basis - a man was thought to be considered " spiritually strong " and qualify to be an elder and serve on judicial committees judging people's personal problems.

Can Elders encourage disfellowshiped people?
by Pitchess Co-Gen inok i've had three elders from other halls come encourage me to come back ( been disfellowshiped for year and a half now), but none of the elders in my home congregation would even look at me when i vist.
i asked my old p.o can he encourage me and he said i won't do that, when three other elders encouraged me to come back.. .
my question is was my p.o right are was he just being a jerk..

Ok new to this site. You guys stories are pretty true with people get appointed. A friend of mine was appoined M.S and now Elder because an Elder took him under his wing,and gave him a push. He changed his life, but still I never had that opportunity.
